I'm looking for a cartoon made in I think the early to mid 80's about a wolf chasing after a little lamb in all kinds of goofy situations (a kids cartoon) and when the lamb would see the wolf approaching he would use the same catch phrase over and over: "It's the wol-if [pronounced wool-if], that's who it is, its the wol-if, its the wol-if!" I can't seem to remember this cartoon for the life of me, but I remember these details very clearly. Can anyone help me out on naming this cartoon? Any guesses?
For the record, "It's The Wolf!!" is the official title. A Hanna-Barbera production.
voices of Paul Lynde as the wolf Daws Butler as Lambsy Allen Melvin as Bristol Hound who usually comes running whenever Lambsy yells the title line and beats the stuffing out of the Wolf.
The cartoon segment was part of the "Cattanooga Cats" hour show in 1970-1971 on ABC Saturday AM along with segments of "Motormouse and Autocat" and "Around the World in 79 Days".
For the Fall 1971-1972 season, "Motormouse and Autocat" reruns were shown in their own separate half hour show with "It's The Wolf" while "The Cattanooga Cats" reruns were cut to a half hour and included "Around the World in 79 Days".

The Boomerang channel shows "It's the Wolf" on occasion and is your best place to see it until someone gets it on DVD. It's out of rotation now, but last summer they had a few episodes in the lineup.

Mildew Wolf was the wolf's full name. The character later became a sports announcer in the "Laff-A-Lympics" series in 1977 with John Stephenson as Mildew's voice.

Wrong, Arty. "The Catanooga Cats Show" actually premiered in 1969, in an hour long format. In 1970, "Around The World In 79 Days" was dropped, and "Motormouse And Autocat" was spun off into a half-hour series, with "It's The Wolf" as the backup segment. There was no 1971-72 season, as the show was cancelled in '71.
Ok, so I figured it out after I made this post, but now, more importantly, does anyone know where I can BUY these cartoons?
Turner Home Entertainment released a VHS tape in 1988. Simply titled It's the Wolf, it contained 12 episodes. I couldn't find it at Amazon, but one of the eBay stores has a copy for $19.99:
Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it. However, the copy at that site was bought out from under me.:( Do you happen to have any other ideas for where this video might be sold or any updates on on ebay auctions/buy it nows?
