(Bear?) pursed in stadium during sporting event

I recall seeing a movie several years back (2001-ish) on HBO/Showtime. The animation style was cel animation and was reminiscent of animated movies of the 80's and 90's. Colorful, detailed and flashy. It took place in a world that was inhabited by anthropomorphic animals and humans (who were made fun of on more than one occasion; One scene was a commercial for a fictional brand of beer that took place in a German pub, we cut to outside in a swamp, two frogs mock the drunken party going humans inside). The main plot revolved around a large animal who I believe was a bear. There was a large sporting event at a stadium (it was a game of baseball or American football IIRC, or something like the Super Bowl). Can't remember the details, but there was a plot involved with him being pursued around the stadium by a villainous character and henchmen who intended to kill him. (I believe the whole movie was him recalling the story to someone later in his life). There were a lot of references to alcohol and tobacco, so I think it was an adult flick as well as considering the bears and sport aspect, a tribute to the baseball team the "Chicago Cubs". I've asked around on many chat rooms and to several people, but no one knows what I'm talking about. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
