"Angry Man," by Abita Killi of Norway, won the Danish Animation Society's Award for Best Animation at this year's Odense International Film Festival. Held annually, the short film festival started in 1975 and is Denmark's oldest film fest. With the win, Angry Man received a prize of 15,000 kroner ($2,600 U.S.). The Danish Animation Society gave secondary prizes of 10,000 kroner each to Heavy Heads by Helena Frank and Venus by Tor Fruergaard. Both films were made in Denmark. Special mentions went to Whistleless by Siri Melchior of Denmark and The Little Dragon by Bruno Collet of France. Logorama -- the winner of this year's Oscar for Best Short Film -- was named Most Inventive Film of the Year at the Odense festival. Made by Francois Alaux, Hervé de Crécy and Ludovic Houplain of France, the 2009 release received a 15,000-kroner prize. The awards ceremony was held Friday night. The 25th Odense International Film Festival ended Saturday.
