Animal keeps dog up at night with dripping water You Must Register Before You Can Post

I, a million billion other people, grew up on cartoons and still remember them to this day and now that we have an Internet that knows everything I wouldn't mind help finding a thing or two. Does anyone remember a VHS with "The Three Little Pigs" written on the label in red serif print, with cartoons containing (as far as I remember): Some kind of animal keeping a dog up at night with dripping water and such, so that when its owner woke up to go hunting the dog fell asleep repeatedly and eventually collapsed in the underground bed of the animal that was keeping it awake, and: a cartoon with a boy finding a poor little puppy, taking it home and getting it forbid by his father? The father eventually had a nightmare where he was turned back into a baby in a screaming wailing horror show that I remember to this day. He woke up and accepted the puppy in repentance. To make this a discussion, how many people have cartoons they saw as a kid that they've revisited on the Internet? And how often did the actual match up with whatever you remembered?

This is the internet. They are just putting up with The Sandman while waiting for you to unleash the talking pastry.

Cartoon #1: Doggone Tired (MGM, 1949)
A rabbit overhears a hunter tell his dog that he'll have to get plenty of sleep if he wants to catch the rabbit in the morning. In the interests of self-preservation, the rabbit devotes his entire night to keeping the dog awake in a variety of creative ways.

Cartoon #2: Boy Meets Dog! (Walter Lantz Productions/Caravel Films, 1938)
A strict father, who won't let his son eat sundaes, go fishing or keep a stray dog, dreams of being taken to a forest and put on trial by various elves, pixies and other creatures when the tribunal comes off the family wallpaper to stress dental health in rhythm and song. The unwanted doggie is the star witness, and the dad is sentenced to a "youth machine," which brutally turns him into a baby. Upon awakening (to the dog licking his face), he reforms and takes all the boys fishing. Don't miss eight bars of the hottest organ solo that you're ever likely to hear!

Amusingly enough, several years ago, when I first joined this site, I too asked about "Boy Meets Dog"

The truth is, I have revisited many a cartoon I had seen as a child on the internet. For some reason I have an extremely good memory when it comes to stuff I have seen on tv--especially cartoons--even if I've only seen the short once or twice or not in a long time.

Most of what I've seen does indeed match up with what I remember--it's actually kind of scary.
