BCDB Moved
Well, I just moved BCDB over to it's own, isolated server. I got a good- no GREAT deal... a better server in all respects than it was on, for 1/5 th the price...so I grabbed it and moved BCDB over. So I do not know what it means, other than I will be up until 1 AM tweaking. I know other things will take a few days to shake out... so if you see things not working as they should, drop me an e-mail or a PM. So, specs for those who care: 2 3.2 Ghz Xeons (4 CPU's total) 8G mem 2 36 G 10K rpm SCSI drives. so, pretty powerful. Enjoy.

OK, I think I finally got all the remaining bugs worked out. Things should be stable now. had to run downtown every night this week for one thing or another... I hope that is over! Oh, just for your info.... the yellow wires into the router in the pictures are the connections from the various servers into the router. The blue wire is the connection out to the Internets. I added another sub-net last night, interconnections between all the servers and the MySQL server. Not sure if it will increase speeds, but it separates the "back server" stuff from the Internets. Now the MySQL server is completely off the web... good for security.

Looks great D, nice work! Are you using Cat-5 or Cat-6 for the ethernet wires? Wow, SCSI too! I used to have a two SCSI drives, they were fast, but the speed and capacity of the new SATA drives pushed me away from it, had to upgrade. Now I got 3.2TB, and it flies.

im not seeing ANY images on bcdb, other than banner ads & the little page buttons like this.. http://www.bcdb.com/cartoons/static/cartoon/images/paging-prev.gif image urls seem fine but all redirect to same error page.. http://media.bcdb.com/disney/bimg.pl?name=17&%3bslot=1&%3bkeyword=NULL "AdvertPRO Error: Runtime Exception: Unable to determine redirect location." all the forum graphics appear working though, except the twitter one.. bad http://images.bcdb.com/pictures/bcdb_small.gif good http://www.bcdb.com/images/bcdb_button.jpg good http://forum.bcdb.com/images/forum_ban.gif bad http://images.bcdb.com/pictures/twitter.gif i dont know servers or anything, but i think it could be the sub domain or just a renamed folder? or maybe it just takes time with all those screen caps..
