Big dog takes care little kitten(Feed the Kitty)
|
|
|
I am trying too remember the name of and find an old cartoon with a tiny kitten and a big bull type dog that ended up taking of care of the kitten and the kitten would claw around in a circle on the dogs back while getting settled in and the dog would be going ouch! eek! and then the kitten would fall asleep. Can anyone help me?

You can find this on Looney Tunes Golden Collection Vol. 1.

Cameron, and all members, the link to purchase Feed the Kitty or other cartoons you seek, are on the main page. Just click on Feed the Kitty link, and at the bottom of the text in golden bold lettering titled Get this Cartoon on DVD here. The artwork on the sidebar, generally indicate that this toon your looking at, is available on this DVD. Now, not every cartoon is avaiable on DVD yet, so understand the process please! Look below at insert to see how clever Dave is!

I already knew that. I just thought that d2taylor would want an automatic link to the DVD where you can get Feed the Kitty. Besides, he might have not seen it.

Coolio. That's the whole point, we have to open up members eyes to look for something instead of double posting, etc.... Thanks.

hope this helps.........I'm thinking that your particular 'mystery' cartoon was same one I'm trying to figure out. I remember the dog's name was Marc Anthony. Didn't the dog think the little kitten got made into a cookie, and he would lay the cookie on his back? It's a Looney Tunes cartoon, I just think of the name either. sorry

And many people felt heart-broken with this cartoon as well. They cried until the kitty was on Marc Anthony's back.

There is, of course, another similar cartoon featuring the kitten being cared for by the bulldog called "Cat Feud". In this one, the dog isn't given a name, nor is he the same color as Marc Anthony: he is a gray bulldog used to guard a construction site, who finds the kitten tumbling out of a nearby trash can. Like Marc Anthony, he warms up to the kitten quickly, and gives it a huge (compared in size to the kitten) loaf of bologna or salami from a lunchbox, and protects the kitten from a nearby alley cat, who covets the meat.

My wife is not the biggest classic cartoon fan, but she really enjoyed "Feed the Kitty." <br> <br>As to "Cat Feud," I would say that it indeed is Marc Antony. Jones cartoons were becoming quite stylized in the late 50s, and I suppose that the animation was going cheaper. I never saw much of a difference. The Beck & Friedwald book has him as Marc. <br> <br>"Cat Feud" was one of the cartoons that had the classic "freezes" in 1990-92 by ABC & syndication. While Marc was pummeling the scraggly cat trying to get Pussyfoot's salami, one only saw a split second of the punching, while we saw Pussyfoot napping on the girder, during the pounding! <br> <br>cd <br>

In real life dog and cat cannot get along together. Many are saying that these two creatures are worst enemy. <a href="http://www.catcare101.com/cat-bath/">Cat Bath</a>

The Special Features section of the Monsters Inc. DVD discusses how Feed the Kitty inspired the dynamic between the characters of Sulley and Boo, particularly the scene where Sulley thinks that Boo has become the victim of a trash compactor.
