Cartoon characters holding their breath underwater You Must Register Before You Can Post

This thread is to share cartoon moments where the character(s) is/are holding their breath while underwater. Sometimes, their inflated cheeks are quite hilarious! If anyone has screencaps of the Camp Lazlo episode Lazlo's First Crush, in which Lazlo and Raj have a breath-holding contest to see who gets to have the mermaid, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to ... ahem.. "burst your bubble" (I really couldn't help myself), but I don't think I can recall any scenes off hand that really feature that. I guess I don't pay attention as well as I should sometimes!

Admittedly, I cannot think of any of the balloon-cheeks variety offhand, either. However, for simple sustained submersion, I can name two:

1) From Heavy Metal, distributed in the United States by Columbia Pictures in 1981, during the Den story arc: Katherine Wells is thrown into a large stone pool as a sacrifice to Ulatek. Newly arrived hero Den sees this, and dives in to effect a rescue. Together, they swim through a passage to freedom. Actor John Candy, as the voice of heroic Den, remarks, "Normally, I'd be dead by now. I kept thinking that we're going to run out of air. But my new body worked great."

2) From The Little Mermaid by Walt Disney Pictures in 1989: Ursula the sea witch agrees to change Princess Ariel into a human girl so that she can pursue the human Prince Eric. Ursula completes the spell, and a nightmarish transformation sequence ensues. At the end of it, Ariel has become human ... but is still submerged a hundred feet or more in the deep blue sea! Ariel's companions, Flounder and Sebastian, help Ariel swim to the surface before she becomes the first mermaid in history to perish by drowning.

The only cartoon I can think of with a character that's underwater and has puffy cheeks is Hare Ribbin'. Even though the dog is underwater, his cheeks are puffy because he took a bite out of a Bugs sandwich.

Ah, there is one that has the balloon-cheeks variety:

From Don Bluth's All Dogs Go To Heaven in 1989, comes the climatic scene where feverish Ann Marie has become submerged because a hole in Carface's casino is letting river water rush in. Charlie Barkin struggles to rescue the waif, but notices the pocketwatch that keeps him alive is sinking in the water as well. He cannot rescue both the girl and the watch at once, though he tries at one point. All the while, Charlie is holding his breath, cheeks bulging.

One episode of "Urusei Yatsura" anime had a lonesome lost sea monster making his home at the bottom of the swimming pool of rich kid Mendou's family-owned swankiest hotel.

The lonely friendly sea monster scares off most of the guests in the pool. The monster begs the swimming Lum, Ataru Moroboshi, Mendou, and school nurse Sakura to stay for tea and biscuits. Lum couldn't hold her breath any longer and tags Ataru, Mendou, and Sakura's hands and swims away fast to get some air. Ataru, Mendou, and Sakura later all couldn't hold their breaths any longer and all of them swim away to get air in fast funny fashion.
