Cartoons between shows on Nick You Must Register Before You Can Post

Prior to 1996, Nickelodeon would show cartoons in between cartoons such as "Eternity", "Sports Cartoon", and others.

I don't know the true name of these cartoons, but are there any that you liked?

"Sports Cartoons" were pretty cute. Cartoon Network also aired them in the late 1990s as part of "Small World."

I also liked Mo Willems's "The Off-Beats." It had a neat visual artwork and animation style reminiscent of Hanna-Barbera and UPA, and the jazz scores to each episode were superb (this was one of the few 1990s cartoons to have a truly original score for each episode!) There were some other neat visual effects, such as when Tommy would yell (like "I SAID LAY OFF THE TWIG!" or "I WANT MY COAT!") everyone would turn green and the background would become blue as the words flew from Tommy's mouth. And whenever the Popular kids would laugh, they'd turn green (though the other characters remained their normal colors) and the background would turn pink with "HA HA HA HA HA" everywhere. You could tell they took great advantage of the digital ink-and-paint process this way, for even Tommy's plaid coat pattern wouldn't move when Tommy would! ("Ren and Stimpy" did a similar gag with That Guy once). Also, Mischa Barton voiced Betty-Anne Bongo, and Mo Willems voiced September the Dog and Grubby Groo. Three of these episodes are on the "Tommy Troubles" Rugrats VHS.

Another one I recall seeing was "Safety Queen," created by Klasky-Csupo. It had a girl with glasses, a construction helmet, retainer and pogo stick describing "very unsafe" situations that could occur, but then the kid in "Danger" would figure it out himself, ala the old Super Grover segments. Three of the segments appeared on the Rugrats video "Double Trouble."

People think I am crazy just because I didn't like "Ratatouille." Am I REALLY crazy, or do I see things differently?

I remember some weird ones but don't know their names. I remember enjoying this one where people are bored so they randomly make some sort of creature with different body parts through art supplies-in the end-when all the stuff is taken off the creature-he's revealed to be the family dog.

Another involved some girl imagining herself as a glamerous beauty queen.

This came after 1996, but I like The Presentators. Animated by Aardman Animations.

And I remember Nick showing Creature Comforts occasionally prior to 1996.
