Salt Lake City, UT/Atlanta, GA, July 23, 2003- AnimationHQ (http://AnimationHQ.net/) and Big Cartoon DataBase (http://www.bcdb.com/) are pleased to announce the second in our ongoing series of online chats with animation professionals; this month's guest is professional animator and artist Chris Headrick. This chat, open to anyone who logs on, will be held this Saturday, July 26, at 7:00pm (EDT), 4:00 PM (PST). Topics will range from how to break in to the animation word, to comments about the upcoming Warner Bros. feature release Looney Tunes: Back In Action. Headrick will take questions live from guests logged into the chat room.
Headrick entered the animation industry in 1995 after a stint as an advertising writer, and has done storyboard work on SpongeBob Squarepants, The Angry Beavers, and Disney's 101 Dalmatians: The TV Series. He was also a storyboard revisionist on Disney's Nightmare Ned, a storyboard director for Hey Arnold! and has done directing duties on Channel Umptee-3. Recently, he has done storyboards and development on the upcoming Looney Tunes: Back in Action feature film and on upcoming Looney Tunes theatrical shorts.
To participate, one must have an active Internet connection, and connect to the chat on July 26th at 7 PM Eastern. Users of IRC clients can log onto irc.sandnet.net and go to channel #AnimationHQ. Those without chat clients can also participate by going to http://www.sandnet.net/jIRC/chat1.html, where a java client can be instantly used.
This chat is the second in an ongoing series of chats to be co-sponsored by AnimationHQ and Big Cartoon DataBase. These chats will bring the creative forces behind cartoons- writers, directors, artists and voice talents- into a public forum where they can meet and discuss their works with fans. These chats are open to anyone who logs on to the web chat via IRC (Internet Relay Chat). Users can actively participate or can just watch and enjoy as the conversation unfolds.
