Commercial from Cartoon Network?!?!?!?! You Must Register Before You Can Post

OK, my sister and I remember this commercial from CN from several years ago. It was 100% animated, with lots of superheroes (it may have been Superfriends, but I'm not sure) - I know Wonder Woman was in it, and a guy who had a pet eagle/falcon (maybe Birdman? I'm just going to call him Birdman in th epost to make it simpler) Anyway, there was a huge panel with tons of buttons on it, and one big button that you weren't supposed to press, and the eagle was walking all over the panel. The other superheroes told Birdman that he should get the eagle off, but he responds saying it's ok, since it is a TRAINED eagle. Then, the eagle presses on the big button that it isn't supposed to. My sister and I are in love with this commercial, and I've been looking for 2 hours online and can't find it anywhere! Please tell me there is someone else who remembers this! If you have a link where I could see it, or even if you just remember the commercial, PLEASE respond! Thank you so much! Smile

It was a "Birdman" parody. I remember it. They did a good job parodying the real "Birdman" cartoons. I guess it inspired the "Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law" series.

People think I am crazy just because I didn't like "Ratatouille." Am I REALLY crazy, or do I see things differently?

1. Do not post multiple threads about the same thing in different forums. That's called spamming and will not be/is not tolerated.

2. It's called "Coffee break" and actually, the interstitial only has Birdman and Falcon Seven in it, no other superheros. But the plot is essentially as you described. Falcon Seven is nervous that Avenger will accidentally step on the Doomsday button, to which Birdman replies that Avenger is "completely trained on the console". To prove it, he tells Avenger to get him coffee- which is the button NEXT to the Doomsday button. Avenger scratches at the button, misses, almost hits the doomsday button, and then... gets Birdman coffee. After which, he accidentally steps on the Doomsday button. The whole thing lasts just a minute.

Try this site, they have a lot of toonami and CN related stuff- http://www.toonamiarsenal.com/

I just hope Adult Swim will accept my idea for a pilot with H-B characters because "Harvey Birdman:Attourney at Law" was insipred for one of my TV Shows.

As previously stated, the guys at Williams Street have said that they wouldn't be doing anymore [adult swim] shows based on classic Hanna-Barbera characters; Harvey Birdman is said to the last one. But of course that doesn't mean that you can't or shouldn't try to pitch your idea anyway. My advice to you is first get a lawyer and a copyright on your show, and then get some experience in the business. Most network execs aren't going to accept ideas from any average Joe or Jane off the street; you've gotta have some cred first.

As for the original poster, it's sounds like you're "hazing", as my brother likes to say, remembering 2 or more cartoon Network bumps as 1. As Kris already pointed out, "Coffee Break" didn't feature Wonder Woman or any other superheroes besides Birdman and Falcon 7. There were however, a few bumps which did feature WW and other heroes. Diana and Aquaman appeared in a bump in which the 2 had been captured by the Legion of Doom and were rescued by the Powerpuff Girls, and there was another pair of bumps in which WW, Blue Falcon, Birdman and Zan of the Wonder Twins would turn in ordinary Live-action settings, approaching everyday situations like going to the movies or getting on an airplane with over-the-top superhero jargon.

That's what people say but there's a huge time gap in between Coffe Break and Harvey Birdman.
