I quite enjoy that show too. The plot is very good for some episodes leaving you thinking "WHAT, HOW'D HE DO THAT!?" I found a few DVD's at WalMart a few months ago and I thought it was pretty good.

I think the "Detective Conan"/"Case Closed" series is still running in Japan...400 episodes and still going.
Their answer to "Law & Order". Smile

490 episodes as of December 3, 2007 according to

www.animenewsnetwork.com

The episodes were usually a separate murder mystery in two part half-hour segments with the occasional one hour special and frequent 90-minute movies.

It is a bit disturbing to see the teen detective trapped in a child's body and his younger friends get involved with investigating whodunit mysteries with gruesome homicides and multiple suspects (which led to its short run on Cartoon Network's early morning Adult Swim block) but the characters and stories were interesting and clever.

Yeah I guess it didn't really do well in North America. It was on one of our stations for a couple months about a year ago. I watched it but it was always on at 12:30ish...

I love Detective Conan. It was on tv for a bit here as well but...it moved to 2 am and then just stopped.

It's so good! I've watched way to much of it. I love how they say "they are the only ones who could have done it" keeping you in suspence till the last moment and not even revealing if it is a boy or a girl. So good!
