Do you still want to be a pirate?/Columbus special

There is a cartoon my mother and I both remember about a duck who wants to be a pirate. Everytime his mother asks if he still wants to be one, he answers "Yessssss" in a whiny way. I always thought it was Looney Tunes, but have never been able to find out anything about it. Another cartoon I have always tried to find info on is a Columbus Day special where the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria are the main characters. One of the ships is an older mentor to the other two. Any help on these would be appreciated.

I think the first one is "I Wanna Be a Sailor" (Merrie Melodies 1937). It is a parrot who wants to be a sailor ("like my dad"), rather than a duck wanting to be a pirate, but the whiney "Yeeesss" is there. Check it out here on Youtube.
