Vancouver Animation School, the leading Canadian educational institution offering entry-level and advanced programs for the animation, film and game industries, on Friday named well-known cartoon writer Jack Enyart the instructor for its newest online course -- Writing for Animation. "We are very excited to have a professional like Jack Enyart on our talented faculty team," said Mario Pochat, animator and founder of the Vancouver Animation School. "He has worked as a writer on cartoon series for classic names such as Scooby Doo, Bugs Bunny, Heathcliff and even The Chipmunks." The brand new online course offering from Vancouver Animation School will focus on two very intensive streams -- animation pitch bibles and animation scriptwriting. Students will learn how to create their own characters, settings and plotlines for animated series. "What many students don't realize is that the entire animation process starts with a clear and concise storyline," Pochat said. "This course is as critical to our students as how to create animation art." According to Pochat, it also may open the eyes of students who are not interested in drawing, but who have strong storytelling skills and want to apply them to the world of animation. "The animation industry truly needs to develop the next generation of skilled story writers," he said. "That's why we are so happy to have an industry leading writer and storyteller on our team." The new Writing for Animation course is Canadian certified by Vancouver Animation School and Private Career Training Institution Agency (PCTIA).
