This -- drumroll -- is post #10,000! (Where else was I going to put it?)
Oh, yes, a lot are obits, particularly in recent years. I now have an extremely reliable source of information about entertainment-related obituaries, and can often post information before the wire services have anything. No, I won't give away trade secrets. Maybe I'm posting too many obits of famous people. However, if I learn about a famous person just being born, you'll read it in the Forum first!

Just as long as you got Eartha Kitt. You know, I used to name my cats after characters in Batman... or somehow related to Batman. We had Bobin, Kitka, but the first in the tradition was Eartha Kitty. Tori has started a new tradition.... now we have Simba and Nala. Back to # 10,000- congrats Ethan- I will be there soon!

Bravo! It's not the number of posts either, it's the quality of your posts that really makes you the man! Nice work E!

Ten thousand posts of significant news about cartoons and animation is a remarkable milestone, indeed. Oneuglybunny bows in respect, sir. From time to time, EMinovitz has remarked how he first visited this site with a question about a cartoon, and received a prompt and honest answer. So impressed was he with the BCDB's response that he offered to help. Today, at the ten thousand mark, he's given galloping ga-whoozles of help. Clear and reliable news about animation production is difficult to come by, which makes Ethan's posts so very special ... and so appreciated. Thank you, EMinovitz, and bless you for sharing what you've learned.
