Seen it Last night. LOL! Seth M. tries to put in a Star Wars ref. in most eps. but this was great. In the cantina scene I saw Coach from "Home Movies" in the BG. I like how they followed the org. story & not the enhanced version (Jabba in the Falon's hangar, blast ring added to explosions, etc.) and the quick ref. to the other "chapters". I thought some gags went a little too long, like the dance number & the loading of the couch. I esp. like at the end when Chris (Seth Green) argues with Peter (McFarland) over "Robot Chicken"

In the cantina scene I saw Coach from "Home Movies" in the BG. Coach Magurk wasn't the only cameo present in the cantina scene; Roger the alien from American Dad and Bender from Futurama were there as well. Overall, I thought this was a better idea than it was an episode, not to mention slightly redundant, since, as Chris pointed out, Robot Chicken already did a Star Wars parody episode-and theirs was funnier, IMO. There were some mildly amusing moments, but overall I felt they were trying too hard to be funny. Did Hubert the pedophile really need a full-blown musical number? Plus some of the casting was questionable-they cast Quagmire as C-3PO and Cleveland as R2-D2, but they couldn't find a single part for Joe and the only thing they could find for Meg was a brief shot as the trash monster in the garbage disposal? IMO, the funniest moment in the whole episode was Chris and Peter debating about Robot Chicken; ironic because Seth MacFarlane (voice of Peter) is the creator of FG and Seth Green (voice of Chris) is co-creator of RC. And even that scene left out some important details-such as the fact that RC is not [adult swim]'s highest rated show, and that Chris/Green failed to point out to Peter/MacFarlane how [as] saved FG's butt from the abyss in the first place, since FG didn't receive the upsurge in popularity which eventually led to its' being renewed until [as] began airing the reruns. But I'm probably just being an uber-geek and nitpicking too much again with that. I'll just say "For all they hype this ep received, it could have been better" and leave it at that.

In the cantina scene I saw Coach from "Home Movies" in the BG. Coach Magurk wasn't the only cameo present in the cantina scene; Roger the alien from American Dad and Bender from Futurama were there as well. In addition, Leslie Nielsen's character from the movie "Airplane" (which, co-incidentally, was produced by FG Co-Producer David Zuckerman) pops into Peter/Han Solo's cockpit during the raid on the Death Star and delivers his line "...we're all counting on you." I didn't watch the end-credits, did Nielsen actually do a guest-appearance here?

I was ROFLMFAO! Too bad they didn't use Meg that much. She would've been one hell of a Jabba the Hutt. And too bad that they only used Episode IV and not the other ones.

That episode was hysterical. The best part had to be the couch scene. Unfortunately this weeks episode sucked.

I guess I'm in the minority, I just wasn't overly thrilled by it. I thought the effort put forth in the visual aspect & recreating the Star Wars story was very impressive, but for comedic purposes, it just didn't do it for me. Very few laugh-out-loud moments, mostly just little chuckles for me.

That episode was very funny and a very elaborate well-done parody of "Star Wars." I loved the Danny Elfman joke and I can definitely see why Chris (Seth Green) was talking about "Robot Chicken" to Peter. I, for one, DO think some of the "Robot Chicken" segments are pretty cool, and I'm sure if RC did a Family Guy parody, Seth Green could voice Chris and get Seth McFarlene to voice Peter, Brian and Stewie!

It was mediocre at best. No big laughs for me. I know that Seth MacFarlane would probably hate to read this, but I thought Robot Chicken's Star Wars show was better, overall. And what's more, the RC episode was only 30 minutes. I get that this is the anniversary of Star Wars and all, but did this really warrant an hour long episode? Honestly, the funniest bit for me was Peter and Chris debating the superiority of FG over RC. Much of this episodes outrageousness seemed forced to me. And Chris was right, it just looked like the FG team was bandwagon jumping on the Star Wars thing right after Robot Chicken did it (and did it better also, I might add). I think I've spotted a shark's fin on Family Guy, but I'll have to see what happens with the rest of the season.

Can anyone explain what's going on with the women on FG? Loretta used to be a BBW, but she slimmed down. Bonnie went out drinking with the girls, but she's still preg. I know it's just a toon, etc.

I know it's just a toon, etc. That wasn't Loretta. Loretta slept with Quagmire and left Cleveland in the episode titled "The Cleveland/Loretta Quagmire. She hasn't been seen since. The African-American woman in the new episode was Clevland's new girlfriend Bernice, who is basically like Loretta, only skinny.
