Hi, Doombear, and welcome to the Forum. I know that Father of the Bird has never been released on any of the LTGC volumes; neither was it ever included as a bonus cartoon on the individual DVD releases of the documentaries, Chuck Amuck and Extremes and In-Betweens (both of which were also included as bonus features in LTGC). You could try doing a title-search on Amazon and see if it pops up in any compilation VHS tapes of some of the newer Looney Tunes cartoons from the 1990's. To be honest, though, I had never even heard of this particular cartoon until you posted your inquiry about it. The title itself is presumably a parody on that of the 1950 MGM comedy-feature, Father of the Bride, starring Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor.

When the Warner Bros store use to be around there was a big movie style poster for it. At the time though I merely thought it was a joke parody poster meant to play with the title "Father of the Bride". In other words-I didn't think that such a cartoon actually existed. Much later when going through the Big Cartoon DataBase Looney Tune entries-I was surprised to discover that it REALLY was a cartoon. I kinda want to see it-although after finally seeing "From Hare to Eternity" (It's really bad) I'm not so sure anymore. BTW-Cornbread is such a bizarre name for a bird!

BTW-"Cornbread" is such a bizarre name for a bird! I know! Then again, he is kinda cute... Although I wonder why they didn't use Tweety instead. Weren't The Tweety and Sylvester Mysteries airing on the Kids WB around the time this cartoon was released? I guess the "Cornbread" character never caught on with audiences, since he hasn't appeared in any other TV or theatrical cartoons. ------------------------- "I'd like to cover you with furs and automobiles!"

The bad points of "From Hare to Eternity" were the storytelling and the voices. Plus, Chuck Jones never handled Yosemite Sam before. He'd always have been Friz Freleng's exclusive character (including the Mexican version of Sam, Pancho Vanilla). Besides, these films, unlike the craptacular Larry Doyle 2003-2004 shorts actually made by Warner Bros. Animation, these 1994-1997 WB shorts were farmed out to Chuck Jones Film Productions. "Chariots of Fur" was an instant masterpiece (hey, I was the star! ), but I'd like to see "Another Froggy Evening." I've only seen screenshots, but it looks neat.

That's an easy request,Wile E, just look it up on Youtube and you'll find it. I haven't tried to watch that one yet. My only warning is that I've heard that it's supposedly bad.
