Fire!

Anyone have Fire! (by Michael Glyn, I think ) It is a hilarious account of the gods giving fire to man, seeing the results, and deciding "Next time, we give the fire to the woman!" I would love to see this again. cheers, frogboytim

This sounds more like Hot Stuff (dir. Zlatko Grgic; National Film Board of Canada, 1971). Tellingly, the French title is Le Feu? Pas pour les hommes! ("Fire? Not For Men!")

Contains one of my favourite quotes, from the food-demanding cat: "It's in the fridge - behind the... CREAM!" Click on THIS LINK to see an earlier thread on Hot Stuff.

I remember it was on that show that Chuck Jones Made, The Curousity Shop (had nothing to do with the Dickens' story) Between the interaction of the kids & puppets, it had short toons, like "hot stuff". I remember a couple of segments where Marians sent a probe to earth & thought cars were the dominate species. Another was a stop motion segment were a flying saucer lands on a table in a cafe. With all the rare old shows going on DVD, this should be on my wish list.
