Five animated films up for Quebec's Prix Jutra

Two National Film Board of Canada releases are among the five nominees for Best Animated Film announced Wednesday by the Prix Jutra, Quebec's movie awards.
The NFB nominees are Patrick Doyon's Sunday (Dimanche) and Dominique Étienne Simard's Paula. Sunday has been nominated for this year's Oscar for Best Short Film (Animated).
Nods also were given to Mathieu Tremblay's D'aléas (production Mathieu Tremblay), Pierre Hébert's Rivière au tonnerre (production Pierre Hébert) and Frédérick Tremblay's Blanche Fraise (La Bande Vidéo).
Leading the Jutra nominations is Philippe Falardeau's Monsieur Lazhar (nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Film) with nine, followed by André Forcier's Coteau Rouge with eight.
The awards ceremony for the 14th Jutras will air live March 11 on Radio-Canada, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's French-language service.
