its a fact! ive got the episodes on video! Muttley and Augie Doggy definately did the whole 'eat a dog biscuit and float down to earth' thing!
maybe theyre not known for doing it like the others, but they definately did it on 1 or 2 occasions.
I remember a few episodes of "The Adventures Of Scooby Doo" featuring Scrappy Doo, which had Shaggy throwing up a 'Scooby Snack' (in the air not vomiting), Scooby jumping for it, and floating back down to earth (also in Scooby movies).
This was repeated by Scooby Dumb in "The Scooby Dumb Mysteries" featuring Velma and at the end Fred.
That was Snuffles, a dog often shown in Quick Draw McGraw cartoons.
It was also Sniffles from "Bozo The Clown" cartoons. Quick Draw's (El Kabong) pet was indeed Snuffles, but he originally "belonged" (stray) to Huckleberry Hound.
Since Snuffles didn't really have an owner, HH didn't mind giving him away.
Can someone find that episode for me?

Hanna-Barbera's "Kwicky Koala" segment "Crazy Claws" revived the Snuffles gag in each episode with the bad guy Rawhide Clyde's dog "Bristletooth" who went gaga every time Clyde give him beef jerky as a bribe in schemes to capture the wisecracking wildcat Crazy Claws.

Don Messick certainly performed a good gruff Yosemite Sam-like voice as Rawhide Clyde. Peter Cullen's Bristletooth's laugh was suitably rough as well...recalling Meatball's dog in "Meatballs and Spaghetti" and Scratch the wildcat in "The Biskitts".

You are all correct, this bit has been done to death by HB on several shows.
I believe that Quickdraw was sponsored by a dog biscuit company, so HB decided to include the product by having a dog character enjoying them not only during the commercials but in the segments as well.
Like most of HB toons, this bit has been recycled ad nausium throughtout the years.
Shameless product placement has been around for a long time. Beverly Hillbillys was sponered by Kellog's corn flakes & every so often Jethro would empty one or two boxes of the stuff & a quart of milk into a salad bowl & start munching[tongue1]

I meant to put that Bob Ogle did the voice of Clyde. The title segment, Kwicky Koala had Ogle as a Droopy-sopudning koala created by Tex Avery and either John Stephenson or Paul Lynde (in hsi dying days) as the wicked Wiflord Wolf who sounded like Lynde.

OH.. Yes, You are correct. Kellogg's also made dog biscuits... Kellogg's T-bone Dog Biscuits. How could I ever forget that? How stupid of me to forget that. Thank you for being such an expert and correcting me.

OH... If you play Snuffles "yummy" sounds backwards they say "Buy more Kelloggs Dog Biscuits." Also, in The Beverly Hillbillies shows if you watch the shows in slow motion you can see Tony the Tiger walking around the Cement Pond while Jethro eats his Corn Flakes.
