Thanks. I also still enjoy Futurama. It shows how stupid tomorrow can be. I keep hearing that new episodes are coming out soon. any news on that? I hope they can bring in the same cast/crew like when Family Guy returned.

All (or at least most) of the cast has been confirmed for the new episodes of Futurama. Billy West (Fry, Prof. Farnesworth, Dr. Zoidberg), Katey Segal (Leela) and John DiMaggio (Bender) will all be reprising their roles when the series returns. NOTE: the new episodes will be airing on Comedy Central, not on [adult swim]. Also, the new episodes won't be ready until 2008.

I'm not sure about the network that will be showing The New episodes in the US...as I'm from England. But yes, most of the cast are confirmed to be returning, as are most of the original writers. Also 'Rough Draft', the original animators of the series, will be animating the new episodes. Also i heard that the new episodes will be four feature length movies split up in to the usual 20-25 minute episodes. whether or not the story will be a continuous one, or four separate ones, I'm not sure about yet. As soon as i hear any further information i will post it.

I believe there's shows over there that we don't get for at least a few months, like Dr. Who. These days with broadband It's easy to see clips & even whole episodes of shows. some even posted bootlegs. there are shows that I missed watching but I can watch them online the next day. I'm sure that soon after Futurama airs here you can see some of it off the 'net.

You are correct in saying that the new "episodes" aren't really episodes aat all, but the four movies split into TV friendly chunks. I'm expecting 3 or 4 episodes per movie, depending on the thei ndividual length of each. So at least 12 new "episodes" should hit Comedy Central (if that's still the case, it's been many months since that was announced with no update whatsoever).

Billy West have been on the con curcit, so he may have some idea of when it will air; but since voice recording is done early, his part may already be over.

Just wanted to kick this thread back into the pen, since the new Futuramas have been wonderful. Especially liked the "dual-Leela" episode. A welcome return that was worth the wait. If only we had a "Bender" e-con....
