Group of kids need to find a way back

Hello, I need help remembering a cartoon I watched as a kid. It's about a group of kids of different ages from 5 probably till 18 or 20, who are somehow drawn into another time or world which is not as advanced as the present day. I remember that they had rifles with them and somehow introduced this new technology to the world they were then a part of. Their means of transportation was their own red vehicle which was from their world and during the series when it took some beating it was repaired and remodeled to look something like a rhino. They also had a flying contraption that they carried on their vehicle and another mechanical robot which could carry one person. They were always searching for some sort of batteries which they needed 10 or 15 of in order to power a machine which would take them back to their world. I remember that in the ending scene they were on water floating on their vehicle which they had tied a mast to, going towards their home town. This cartoon is most probably more then 15 years old.
Please help me, this has been eating at me for ages.
