Happiness is a Warm Blanket Charlie Brown

That wasn't bad at all! What a pleasant surprise! Way better than the junk they gave us in 1994. The music was ace. Schroeder on piano is something that is still untapped imo. It's got Chuck Jones, who did have some influence on the character at 1 point when he produced those movies, all over it. That was nothing like he could have done as a director in the 50s though. The homeages to the strip were done well. They kept it true on all accounts while managing to throw a few original ideas at us with the animation. It made for a great TV special. The Simpsons Christmas is on now. Never liked The Simpsons. Marge and Maggie have the most annoying voices.

I thought the animation in "Warm Blanket" was very good, but I felt that it tried too hard to be like the originals from the 60s. It was too slow of a pace for me. Now, for the "Simpsons-" I think there are many voices more annoying than Maggie's. After all, she's only spoken in 4 episodes of the entire series, not including the Christmas special from season 22, where I haven't been able to hear her speak at all.

I liked this special very much, it had a nice retro feel. I especially liked how they did an animated version of the very first Peanuts comic strip.

The pacifier noise is what's annoyiing. Wish I could take that thing and burn it. Charlie Brown is kind of slow, which is why I'm not a fan of the movies, in spite of what I said about Chuck Jone's involvement with them. 30 minutes of properly done Charlie Brown is great though.

Saw "I Want a Dog For Christmas Charlie Brown" from 2003 the other day. Absolutely horrible. One of the worst cartoons ever.
