"Heavy Metal" Tom and Jerry?

I was over at Jerry Beck's "Cartoon Brew" website earlier this morning. Apparently some musician composed an alternate score to the 1945 T&J short, Tee For Two... It's kinda edgy but somehow, in it's own bizzare way, it fits... don'cha think?

I agree-this is really cool! Especially because rather than sounding completely different-it actually DOES sound exactly like the original score!

Bugs Bunny cartoons are not supposed to feature a lisping Viking rabbit hunter enthusiastically professing his operatic love for a bunny in drag.

The great thing about music is that it's completely subjective, so I won't subject myself to that ever again. I'll give him an "A" for scoring a cartoon with off beats, but Scott Bradley is rolling over in his grave right now. Speaking of beats, how drum machine can you get? Jeez.

"The great thing about music is that it's completely subjective, so I won't subject myself to that ever again..." You just reminded me of a joke concerning a tone-deaf singer. Said one patron unfortunate enough to hear her perform, "She has a great voice... it grates on everyone!" BTW, that last image of the guitar player on the video, following the end credits to the cartoon, was just plain spooky-looking!
