Hollywood Films Pluto's Shower Bath 16mm INFO
Hello, I just recently purchased a few films from a local antique dealer. One of the abbott and costello boxes had in it a film titled "Pluto's Shower Bath" put out by hollywood films, circa 1934. It is a soundless b&w feature. The only information I could find about it, was in a post here on this forum. Aparantly someone was offered $5,000 for this film... I'm very skeptical about that, can anyone please give me a quick apprasial, I will be taking to an apprasial house this week. Thanks.

Hi, Dave! to the Forum! The post you refer to (in case anyone's wondering) is Help (20th October 2005) on this Forum. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but as was said there, B&W silent 16mm releases were usually retitled cut-downs of theatrical releases, intended for the home-movie market; there are a lot still out there and they aren't worth a great deal. Hollywood Films distributed 16mm and 8mm home-movie films. You can see on ebay how much they go for. (Up to $45 at best! ie: in original box, real collector's item. Usually around $10-$15) For other remarks in the same (depressing!) vein see this post, and its links: RARE VINTAGE MICKEY INFO NEEDED: However - if your appraiser says different please let this forum know!
