The first trailer for the next Pixar film (the sequel to Monsters Inc.), Monster University, has just been released. You can watch it... er, them that is, here. Apparently there are actually 4 different versions, but they only differ by one line. Credit Billy Crystal improvising for that.

Yes, I saw it in the cineplex when I went to see Brave. The concept of Mike Wazowski and James Sullivan as two college boys is charming. However, this might open the door to more sophomoric humor from Pixar, which would be disappointing. Hopefully, I'm dead wrong in this regard.
This also makes me wonder where the conflict will come from. Animal House had Dean Wormer, Van Wilder had the wealthy father curtailing Van's tuition payments. What adversity will the two greenhorn monsters face? I'll just have to wait and see.

I too saw the trailer when I went to see "Brave." I was a little surprised that Mike and Sully didn't really look like college kids--but the gag involving Mike decked out like a disco ball was quite amusing.
