Welcome to the Forum, galeocerdo! I think your post will get a lot more attention in Trivia -- that's why I moved it. In the 1947 Looney Tune The Goofy Gophers, the title characters give a smoldering hotfoot to an English-accented watchdog. The 1941 Merrie Melody Hollywood Steps Out has Harpo Marx giving big-footed cigarette girl Greta Garbo a hotfoot. Greta is very slow to react. Lights Fantastic, a Merry Melody released the following year, has an Egyptian Cigarettes billboard depicting one Egyptian giving another a hotfoot. The 1948 Looney Tune The Rattled Rooster has a worm getting a chicken stuck in a pipe, then launching it with a hotfoot. Goofy prepares a hotfoot for a tiger, thus getting a small headstart on the ensuing chase, in the 1945 Disney cartoon Tiger Trouble. Three cute little kittens give Tom (of Tom and Jerry fame) a hotfoot in 1952's Triplet Trouble. Cartoon Law V (from Cartoon Laws of Physics): Shock = Antigravity "Any sudden shock to a body, such as... a hotfoot, will induce motion upward, often to the cradle of a chandelier, a treetop, or the crest of a flagpole."

This isn't from a cartoon, but I thought it was worth mentioning. In a WB gag reel in the late 1930's, Henry Binder is getting the hotfoot from Ray Katz who is getting the hotfoot from Leon Schlesinger. hehehe

I'd like to know who gave Porky the hotfoot in Porky's Pig Feat. He's a shadowy character under a sidewalk grating and we never get a good look at him. The cartoon itself has a strange history, falling outside the WB licensing umbrella of most other LT/MMs. best, M.

That was the same person who would later be known as "Deep Throat".

Negative. The hotfoot giving to Porky is a unknown. Note the color of clothing, it's blue. The hotel manager's coat is brown. Bugs' fingers are usually white or yellow too. Deep Throat? What's that reference?

Deep Thoat- the secret informer who gave Woodward and Bernstein the info on Watergate. Never been revealed who DT was. The OTHER Deep Throat- Linda Lovelace- I beleive is dead.

Actually, I was being completely sarcastic, sorry. I knew that (Hal Holbrook), but the reference was so "out there" I had to comment. There's also no ways all these kids on the forum would get that one.

Does anyone remember a Woody Woodpecker cartoon that he gives a bald guy a hotfoot? He break in a birhouse and started to live there, when the man tries to get him out he gives him a hotfoot! Very funny scene

Before this thread goes on any further, I'd just like to say that bmode's pictures above are in NO WAY indicative of the artistry within Termite Terrace. Those pics are obviously clips from the botched-up restoration jobs done by Seven Arts(?) sometime in the '60's. I have the colorized 1992 version on cassette and it looks much better than that. That is all. Now back to hotfoots!!

Your question about it was already answered in this post on the Mystery Cartoon forum: Re: Woody Woodpecker breaks into birdhouse

Like I said, the pics above look as though they are from the poorly restored version of Porky Pig's Feat which was done sometime in the '60's. The only place these abominations can be found are on the $5 bargain bin cartoon collections. The much better restored version is on the VHS cassette "Tales From the Duckside" which came out in 1992 or thereabouts. I suggest everyone check out that version and then compare that to the pics above.

Hmm. Well? I got this from the Boomerang Network, so which one do they have? If you have it on VHS, it can't look that good. VHS is crap not matter who did the dub or what master it came from, trust me on that one. If it is exceptional quality, transfer it immediately to a more stable media source than VHS. Quickly! Please give us all a treat and post the good stuff.
