Was 'Bugs Bunny in King Arthur's Court', that was released in 1978, based off of 'Knighty Knight Bugs'?

Actually, the TV special was titled A Connecticut Rabbit In King Arthur's Court.
Written by Chuck Jones (self-confessed as "Plagiarization"), it was based on the original novel A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain.
The Oscar-winning Knighty Knight Bugs (1958) had an original story by Warren Foster.
