Least Favorite Looney Tunes Character/s

I'd have to say Road Runner and Wile.E.Coyote shorts (And the characters) are pretty boring in my opinion. They were more enjoyable when I was younger. Oh, and don't go tell me, "Well that's because you're older now", because I still have a healthy cartoon diet!

I don't truely dislike any of the main Looney Toon characters. All of them are brilliant. However I don't care much for Conrad the cat especially in "Conrad the sailor"Not quite sure why. But here is a list of the characters that my dad hates (most of them I love) 1.Marvin the Martian as my dad is not into much Sci Fi stuff 2.Charles dog because he finds him annoying 3.Witch Hazel 4.The adorable Playboy penguin because he doesn't talk 5.Cecil Turtle-because he defeats Bugs Bunny. 6.Michegan J.Frog

Yeah that frog is annoying. I wish the cartoon would have ended with that poor guy smashing him. Speedy is annoying, also. Thank goodness for "Muchos Lucos." I don't prefer the RR/Wile shorts either but both characters have their moments in cleverness and comedy.\ unlike the other 2.

What about that extremely annoying Little Red Riding hood in "Little Red Rabbit hood" Great cartoon mind you, but I'm still glad that Bugs punished Red in the end instead of the wolf. I mean she was obnoxious. "Hey,Grandma! I got ya a little BUNNY rabbit-to have!" I also don't love that Magician in the case of the missing hare. You know-"Zoota,Zoota,Zoot!" I don't hate him,but I don't love him either.

Oh.. Bingo! That Little Red Riding character is extremely annoying. Good one. I had a hard thinking of one I dislike, but you hit the nail right on the head. Thanks.

I also hate that slick chick in........ well.......... The Slick Chick (by Robert McKimson c. 1962). "Me good wittle self say 'stay out' but me mean wittle self says 'go on in'". Yeesh! That type of dialogue isn't funny the first time and certainly isn't funny the 50 other times he said it. What was McKimson and/or Pierce thinking?

I always hated Mama Bear in "Bugs Bunny And The Three Bears." "Tell me more about my eyes!" Oh, please! For that matter, I couldn't stand Papa and Junior that much, either. Also the hippo in the audience from "Hamateur Nite." I especially couldn't stand it when he spoiled the chickens' performance of the balcony scene from "Romeo And Juliet." And I'm sure that everyone here will agree that the hands down winner in the hated character department is the Gremlin who takes Bugs Bunny on a flight most of us would rather forget.

I'll second that nomination -- Conrad Cat (who appeared in only three cartoons) comes to mind easily as one of my least faves. I've seen him only in Porky's Cafe, but that was enough to turn me off. The reason? He's BORING! All he does is smile like Mad's Alfred E. Neuman, flip pancakes and chase an ant. Big deal. Termite Terrace could do much better with a characterization, and almost always did; someone must have been asleep at the switch. As for Red Riding Hood in Little Red Riding Rabbit, I'll agree that she's irritating.. but she's supposed to be. Her character was modeled after Cass Daley, a loud-mouthed radio comedienne (sort of like Martha Raye, if you remember her).

I can't stand the cats in "A Tale of Two Kittens." A "Gruesome Tuesome" is by far a better cartoon and the characters are more enjoyable. I've posted that before and people disagreed but that's how I see it. BABBAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!! %^#%--!- annoying cat...

My LEAST fave without a doubt was "tweety" UGH! I like Bob Clampett's humor & characters, but 'tweety'?? C'mon Bob! WHAT was up with this pesky, dopey, fat-headed baby-talking bird critter?? Oh well, for every 3 or 4 great "characters" I guess you gotta invent 1 "eh" character. I'm glad Sylvester NEVER DID eat him -- he'd of died too![unsure] I never liked the "Road Runner" either, except when PLYMOUTH used him as their mascot during the "muscle car" era. I remember a fellow student at school [long, long LONG ago...] wore a T-Shirt with Wile E. Coyote pummeling the road runner! I thought; "FINALLY!! [stupid bird!]" I always felt sorry for Wile E. I like all the rest of the WB characters [some more than others]. This website shows just how "passionate" [good or bad, ha ha] people can BE about their TOONS, right?

Least favorite: "Bug's Bunny" in Hare-um Scare-um. So one-dimensional, overbearing and ugly, too. Avery's retooling of this character should have earned him a Nobel Peace Prize.

And I'm sure that everyone here will agree that the hands down winner in the hated character department is the Gremlin who takes Bugs Bunny on a flight most of us would rather forget. Yeah, that Gremlin use to greatly annoy me! It took me a long time to eventually get use to him. But yeah, come to think of it, Conrad Cat WAS boring. Never liked him much either in "the Bird came,C.O.D." But it was great to watch that tiny little bird pummel him! And-wait a minute I have one more pesky character who had some good cartoons but was a horrible character-Dodgeworth-you know that cat that looks like an overweight Sylvester. He's extremely lazy and is always forcing adorable little kittens to do his dirty work so that he can receive the reward part! Those little kittens were great though because they actually knew how to defeat him in the end. ------------------------- "Homer,we just brought Flanders back from the dead. I never particularly cared for Marc Anthony and Pussyfoot. Their shorts were so sickly sweet, they gave me cavities!

I'm also not thrilled about Porky's irascible sidekick Gabby Goat, who first appeared in 1937's Porky's Badtime Story. Gabby's angry behavior didn't play well with audiences, so his character was canceled after only three cartoons. Good decision.

I'll agree with you there. Gabby was never a real favorite of mine either-as well as of course that annoying little duck child from "It's an ill wind" "Porky's hotel" and "she was an acrobat's daughter"

I don't care for the Speedy cartoons. "Bugs Bunny And The Three Bears" is the only one I like from the Three Bears trilogy. And regarding the Sylvester/ Tweedy and the RR/Wile E. cartoons, some I like but I think too many where made. Especially the RR/ Wile E. ones. After a while, it lost it's originality.

Hi Peter Hale.... Yes, I know exactly what you mean about "tweety's debut" film. I can't think of the title but alot of people have nicknamed it "the naked genius" [episode]. Tweety is 'pink' in this one [to ADD to the obnoxia!!] but yes, he was SUPPOSED to be a little twerp defending his life against 2 cats.... That one is tolerable since it's part of WB' "history" -- but it's all those later ones where the line "you bad owd puddy tat" got RUN INTO the ground! Ugh! I've always liked Sylvester & got tired how HE was always a "victim", shall we say, to 'Tweety' or 'Speedy' [another pesky WB character although I don't put "heeeem" in my 'bad list']. It's funny to see all those tiny sombrero-wearing mice jumping up & down! [hee hee] Speaking of mice, I noticed you live in London -- are you interested at all in "Danger Mouse"?? THAT'S one of my FAVE'S. The dialogue in that show was right up there with any other comedy show "David Jason" did! ....Blake

Gabby Goat??? Aww gee wiz [snif] GABBY was one of my FAVOURITES[unsure]. I know what you mean though about his "over displayed anger", but that's what makes him funny....to me anyways. I'll bet though if he HAD been made into numerous other cartoons [not being replaced by super-lovable "Daffy" ] I'd probably NOT like Gabby these days.....[?] I guess I've always liked him because he appears just a few times...you know...."rare", ha ha. "I may as well try sleeping under Niagra Falls!!" ....Blake
