Regular voices: Scott Menville as Spanky Julie McWhirter Dees as Alfalfa/Woim Patty Maloney as Darla Shavar Ross as Buckwheat BJ Ward as Porky/Butch/Waldo Peter Cullen as Pete the Pup/Officer Ed Scott Menville would later voice another member of another cartoon gang of kids in 1984 as Bingo Beaver on "The Get Along Gang" along with Sparky Marcus ("Richie Rich") as Montgomery Moose.

And Porky's voice was that of Julie Dees, not B.J. Ward. I really do wish Warner Home Video would consider releasing the Little Rascals animated series on DVD.

Thanks. King World (CBS Entertainment/Viacom/Paramount now?) owns the rights. A lawsuit filed by Eugene "Porky" Lee against Hanna-Barbera for using his likeness without permission was settled out of court...perhaps one reason why the Rascals cartoons were never rebroadcast after its ABC run. I recall in the Hanna-Barbera "Rascals" cartoons, Woim tended to repeat everything Butch said. Porky didn't say too much, usually relying on Buckwheat to translate whatever he said. The same character designers for the "Rascals" also designed the characters for Hanna-Barbera's "The Gary Coleman Show" as well.

I already knew that King World, now CBS Television Distribution, had some of the rights to The Little Rascals. Apparently, despite the settlement, the King brothers didn't want to negotiate with Hanna-Barbera regarding cable rerun rights to the animated series.
The same character designers for the "Rascals" also designed the characters for Hanna-Barbera's "The Gary Coleman Show" as well. I asked Earl Kress about who did the character designs for The Little Rascals, and he thought they were Iwao Takamoto's work. Even Hanna-Barbera's historian can't always be right, I guess.
