Long-lost "Dexter's Rude Removal" episode You Must Register Before You Can Post

Originally scheduled to air in 1998, this episode of Dexter's Laboratory was pulled from broadcast by Cartoon Network at the last minute due to foul language and other rudeness.

It has only been shown at a few Comic Cons... until now.

On Tuesday, Adult Swim released "Dexter's Rude Removal" online -- with the offending words bleeped.

Over 300,000 views so far!

I've heard about this episode for years. I never doubted its existence, but I never thought I would get to see it. Supposedly there isn't an actual copy of an uncensored version. I will admit, I expected the rude counterparts to curse every few seconds--like something out of South Park. However, the episode was still quite good, and I loved Dee Dee and Dexter's British accents.

Yeah, it's funny how Dee Dee's accent changed.

The short wasn't terrible, but it wasn't deserving of all the years of infamy that it's received. With the swears bleeped, it was just a run-of-the-mill episode, very much like an episode of SpongeBob Squarepants which followed a similar theme.

The most controversial thing about it was the title card which depicted Dee-Dee flipping the bird (how can she even do that with only 4 fingers?) and Dexter mooning the audience. Cartoon Network could have just removed and/or replaced the title card and this could have aired on TV as a regular episode.

Keep in mind, SpongeBob and Patrick had no idea what the word meant--much like several other cartoons with similar themed episodes. In this case--Dee Dee and Dexter--or rather their rude counterparts CLEARLY know what they're saying. Also, it's very easy to make out what they're saying, despite the bleeps.

I think one of the biggest rumors that flew about was that Dee Dee calls Dexter at one point a "Skullf***ing D****bag" which never appears or seems apparent through any of the curses. I'm not sure where that rumor came from but it's clearly been debunked.

It appears that the video is now private. Good thing I saw it when I had the chance.

I think it's still public, I can still see it.

Well that's odd. Earlier today the video said it was private. Just now I clicked the link and I can see it.
