Looney Tunes Platinum Collection
I see WB is releasing a new series called the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection. I have some questions about it: 1. Is this series similar to the Looney Tunes Golden Collection? 2. Should I bother to start collecting this series or am I better off with my 6 volumnes of the LTGC?

Well, I believe the Platinum Collection is only on Blueray. So, if you really really need to see the Looney Tunes in 1080 HD and feel that DVD is on the scrap heap with the horse & buggy, then by all means buy this collection. If not, then the Gold Collection dvds should sustain you.

So the Platinum Collection is like the Blu-Ray version LTGC series?

The platinum collection also contains some cartoons not available on the golden collections. They are "Lovelorn Leghorn," "Hasty Hare," "Hare-Way to the Stars," "Bill of Hare," "A Witches' Tangled Hare," and "Feline Frame-Up." If you don't have the golden collections, there is a great collection of shorts here already released there as well. Some new material not in the original canon would be "The Door," "Marvin the Martian in the 3rd Dimension," "Father of the Bird," "Museum Scream," "My Generation G-G-Gap," and "Attack of the Drones." If I had a blu-ray player, I'd probably get it. And if this were worth enough good, I'd buy a blu-ray player. :P

I like to own Hasty Hare but I doubt it'll be worth buying this set just for that one cartoon. I might update some cartoons/movies to blu-ray some day but for now, I'm happy with my Golden Collections.
