Plot : Set almost in the future. There were 2 best friends (they were astronauts, scientist or people who work in space. I can't remember) who work with each other. However, 1 of them were in a mission and he suddenly got knockout after an incident. Some group of bad guys found him while he was unconscious.
They pick him up and "fix" him. As he has loss his memory. If i remember correctly that he wore a mask and he became the boss of the group. This will also explain during the opening.
During the show, this guy had to fight against his best friend. At the end of the last episode, the main antagonist finally remembered and he somehow sacrifice himself.
Sorry for my bad English. I try to type what i can based on my memory. Cause its been many years since I've watch this animated series, i unable to find or related the title and i wish to watch it again. Haha. Thanks.

I changed the title of the thread because it was very imprecise -- it asked only about identifying the name of a cartoon. The new title explains the subject of your post.

The original French title translates as 20,000 Leagues in Space, and it is a futuristic version of Jules Verne's submarine novel - or at least the characters. Captain Nemo's adversary in the series is Master Phantom, who used to be his friend until an accident twisted his mind.
The space scenes were computer-generated, and apparently shown in 3D (special glasses being required to see the effect).
