Mark Your Calendars, HB Fans! You Must Register Before You Can Post

I've just been informed that Warner Bros will be releasing a special Hanna-Barbera DVD set on May 21. This compilation will feature many cartoons already on DVD, plus ones that'll be on DVD for the first time, including "Augie Doggie And Doggie Daddy," "Abbott And Costello," and "The Catanooga Cats." These will have one episode each of specific shows from the 50's, 60's, and '70's.Smile

I have a VHS copy of Abbott and Costello Cartoon Carnival, No. 1 -- the only authorized release of A&C cartoons so far. At one point, it was selling at Amazon for $66! (There never was a "No. 2.")

It was released by Interglobal Video, a Canadian company, of all things! The story I heard (or maybe just imagined) is that someone involved in producting the original series was friends with someone at the video company and let him have release rights as a favor.

If the DVD contains just one A&C cartoon, I'll be happy... if there are several, I'll be somewhat miffed that the value of my VHS tape has gone downhill.

Is this part of the "Saturday Morning Cartoons" variety set (60s part 3, 70s part 3, 80s part 2)?
