I meant to put this up, but... ...anyone remember these Nick-at-Nite Bumpers from the 90's?... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LneBdFn5CME

Yeah, I remember them. They were nice, but they belong to an earlier tradition. It would be neat if today's Nick at Nite bumpers possessed that same level of quirky creativity, but the kitschy retro look and feel of those bumps wouldn't fit in with the NAN of today, since the block isn't milking the "Hello out there from TV Land" shtick anymore. Those would be more appropriate for TV Land now, honestly.

On a semi-related note, anyone remember HA!, Viacom's TV comedy network? It launched around 1990 and shortly thereafter merged with HBO's Comedy Channel to become Comedy Central. Anyway, HA! had some cool, funny and interesting bumps. Check 'em out.

(I think) some of these bumpers were animated by famous animators such as David Lubell, JJ Sedelmaier, Jane Aaron, Colossal Pictures, Joey Ahlbum, Marv Newland, JD King, Frank Mouris, and Charlex. Well...I just wonder what other works these guys did?
