"Muppets," "Arrietty" win Golden Trailer Awards You Must Register Before You Can Post

Winners of the 13th Annual Golden Trailer Awards in many categories, including animation/family, were announced Thursday in Los Angeles.

For Best Animation/Family, the winner was The Muppets "Their Movie" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Buddha Jones), defeating -- among others -- The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (Columbia/Paramount, Ignition Creative) and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted "Trailer 1" (Paramount Pictures, TRANSIT).

In the Foreign Theatrical Trailer sweepstakes, the winner -- and sole nominee -- for Best Anime was The Secret World of Arrietty "Stand Tall" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture, Trailer Park).

For Best Foreign Animation/Family Trailer, the winner was Arrietty "UK Trailer" (Studio Canal, The Editpool). Other nominees in the category were Brave "Japan Trailer" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, mOcean), Don Gato y Su Pandilla "Trailer 1" (Warner Bros. Mexico, FIX COMUNICACION), Don Gato y Su Pandilla "Trailer 2" (Warner Bros. Mexico, FIX COMUNICACION) and The Secret World of Arrietty "Stand Tall" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Trailer Park).

Best Animation/Family TV Spot went to Puss in Boots "Curiosity" (Paramount Pictures, Aspect Ratio). Also nominated were The Muppets "Prepare Physical" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, mOcean), The Pirates! Band of Misfits "Epic Love Story" (Sony Pictures, Green Monster Advertising) and Puss in Boots "Fiesta Kids" (Paramount Pictures, TRANSIT).

For Best in Show, The Muppets "Their Movie" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Buddha Jones) lost to the live-action Dark Knight Rises "Chant" (Warner Bros., Open Road Entertainment).

Best Music nominee The Muppets "The Pig With the Froggy Tattoo" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Buddha Jones) lost to the live-action Another Earth (Fox Searchlight, Ignition Creative).

In the Golden Fleece category, the partly animated John Carter (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Ignition Creative) lost to Apollo 18 "Classified" (Dimension Films, Aspect Ratio).

For Most Original Trailer, The Muppets "The Pig with the Froggy Tattoo" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Buddha Jones) and The Pirates in an Adventure with Scientists (Band of Misfits) (Sony Pictures Releasing, Empire Design) were defeated by Chronicle "Camera" (20th Century Fox, Buddha Jones).

In the Best Foreign Graphics in a Trailer category, Don Gato y su Pandilla (Warner Bros. Mexico, FIX COMUNICACION) lost to Coriolanus (LIONSGATE, Create Advertising London).

Best Music TV Spot nominee Puss In Boots "Fiesta Kids" (Paramount Pictures, TRANSIT) lost to Moneyball "Academy Song" (Columbia Pictures, Workshop Creative).

For Best Voice Over TV Spot, The Muppets "How Many" (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Buddha Jones) lost to Final Destination 5 "Die Again" (Warner Bros., TRANSIT).
