Not me, I'm not sleepy You Must Register Before You Can Post

The catoon featured bears hibernating. Family of bears. Little short, gruff bear, Taller dullard bear. Punch line was, Not me, I'm not sleepy. Any one remember this one?

I can't give you the title, but it was clearly one of the WB shorts featuring the Three Bears. Papa Bear was the gruff one, Mama Bear the sweet-tempered one, and Junior the big, not too bright, diaper-clad cub.

Welcome

The short in question is What's Brewin', Bruin? (d. Chuck Jones, 1948). It's the 2nd appearance of Jones' Three Bears, but their first appearances in a short as stars in their own right. The trio first appeared as foils for Bugs Bunny in Bugs Bunny and the Three Bears.

The one I remember with that exact tag line was a Fractured Fairy Tale, Three Bears send-up "Goldilocks". There were two that were done, but I remember Daws Butler as Papa, June Foray as Mamma & Goldi, and Bill Scott as Baby.

The premise was Goldilocks was opening a winter resort, but the Three Bears moved into the lodge. So, Goldi had to get the bears to leave.

That's the one I was thinking about too. Actually there were three version done for Fractured Fairy Tales.
Yeah-"Baby Bear" kept insisting that he wasn't sleepy only to get socked in the face by Papa Bear!

"And I will play the piano!" *Bam!*"Shutup!"

The piano line is funny, but I like :

Papa : Shut up, or I'll rock you to sleep.

Baby: With a real rock?

Papa: YES!
