I will tell you what I remember and maybe one of you will know the cartoon I'm referring to. I have been trying to figure out the name of this toon for about 10 years and haven't been able to find it anywhere.
The cartoon starts with a poor couple, wearing rags. They go into town one day and before going to walk around, they each go into separate, public bathrooms. She gets a new dress, shoes, makeup put on, and he gets his hair trimmed, a wash, and new clothes. They walk around and see large logs being crafted into sets of small furniture and whole pieces of logs being turned into small tooth picks and placed into a toothpick box. At the end, the man and woman stop at a vending machine and the man puts a coin inside. A small, kit-kat sized bar comes out and he takes it. He unwraps it, and unfolds the bar about a hundred times until the block is now a brand new car!
That's all I can remember. If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it! It's a cartoon from maybe the 60's or 70's.
