Rare 1939 Looney Tunes promo booklet You Must Register Before You Can Post

Check out Jerry Beck's site for a look at a rare 1939 Looney Tunes promotional booklet
(surprisingly, then Bugs Bunny was considered only an "incidental character"!).

It's not surprising to me. In 1939 they were still experimenting with Bugs' character. Plus he was only in one or two cartoons (depending when in 1939 this booklet came out).

The booklet looks cool and seems to be in great shape. Thanks for posting this.

Great site! And it indicates what a transformative year 1939 was at WB animation. Especially on Elmer Fudd's model. I can't recall his appearing like that in any cartoon. It's as if he were captured in "mid-morph" from Egghead into his modern form.

Sniffles looks different as well. Especially with his eyes and surrounding fur coming up to a point.

Daffy also looks different. In the pic with him running, his body is drawn like a snowman. Two obvious circles. But in the one that has him in different poses, it's not as obvious.

I wonder who drew the characters?

It looks like Charlie Thorsten drew all of them. I don't think he ever got a handle on drawing Daffy.
