Richie Rich Vignettes
Is it true that in Hanna-Barbera's version of Richie Rich that it produced from 1980-84, there were vignettes on all four seasons of the show? Chronology: 1980-1982: The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show 1982-1983: The Pac-Man/Little Rascals/Richie Rich Show 1983-1984: The Little Rascals/Richie Rich Show Is it also true that the vignettes had a special title to them, just like the three proper Richie Rich segments? ~Ben

The Richie Rich blackouts were titled "Gems". The Pac Man blackouts went under the title "Pac Mania". The Little Rascals blackout segments didn't have any special title, just a short animated opening of the Rascals holding up lettered placards spelling out the shows' title.

The Richie Rich shorts' titles were never printed on screen. Instead, the shorts were identified by collective titles: "Riches"-the initial show-opening RR shorts, the most 'conventional' shorts in the bunch. "Treasure Chest"-typically aired in the middle of the show, and usually focused on another character in the RR cast besides Richie. "Gems"-the aforementioned blackout gags. "Zillion-Dollar Adventures"-the final shorts in the show. These usually had Richie and the others thwarting some sort of criminal or would-be world conqueror.

Those Hanna-Barbera Richie Rich cartoon short titles were actual Harvey Richie Rich comic book titles. The Zillion Dollar adventures were the longest RR cartoon stories, lasting about 8 to 10 minutes. I think there were other Hanna-Barbera Richie Rich cartoon episode titles taken from the comics such as Richie Rich Dollar$ and Cent$, Richie Rich Millions and Richie Rich Cash.

What I do not know is whether or not the "Gems" vignettes originally were added for the 1982-83 season, at which point the series began sharing its newfound 90 minutes with Pac-Man and Little Rascals. ~Ben

No, the "Gems" segments originally aired on The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show.
