Same Characters names, different characters You Must Register Before You Can Post

There were a few H-B cartoons where they used the name 'Snagglepuss', but he looked different. And same as 'Hardy-Har-Har'.

Were there any others?

Well, I saw the 1959 Snooper and Blabber episode about Snagglepuss. In that one, though he was orange, he still had the same voice and personality of the Snagglepuss we all know and love. Major Minor was in it, too, and he was almost the same, except he had gray hair and a gray mustache.

Hardy Har Har made his debut in a Snooper & Blabber episode. That was the only time Daws
Butler provided Hardy's voice (Mel Blanc was hired
for the role in the Lippy Lion & Hardy Har Har
cartoons). On the other hand, Daws was always
Snagglepuss' voice; he just modified it for the
YOGI BEAR show by raising it to a higher register
and giving it a more "breathy' quality.

The same "appearance" holds true for Yakky Doodle. He had appeared in some Yogi Bear shorts and others too. I don't think there were any changes in Yakky Doodle.

Actually, Yakky Doodle evolved from "Iddy Biddy
Buddy," a duck who appeared on the HUCKLEBERRY
HOUND show in Yogi episodes (incl. his first appearance in "Slumber Party Smarty" and "Duck in
Luck") and in the Pixie & Dixie cartoon "A Wise Quack." He was voiced by an actor named Red
Coffee, who also voiced a very similar little duck in
the Tom & Jerry short "Little Quacker." He was green
on Huck's show (not sure what color the duck in the
T & J cartoons was). Yakky was a yellow duck voiced
by ventriloquist Jimmy Weldon (who earlier had a
TV kids' show in which his dummy was--what else?--
a duck). The voices were similar, but Yakky's is, I
think, a little easier to understand. They do share a
similar, cute personality (not unlike Tweety).

Don't forget that he was also in a Loopy de Loop cartoon called "This is my Ducky Day". And he was purple.

I had forgotten about that one. It was released some years ago on the H-B "Furried, Feathered
Follies" video tape. (A very good collection, by the
way, that also features Ricochet Rabbit, Pixie & Dixie,
Touche Turtle, and Lippy Lion & Hardy Har Har. The
highlight: the only cartoon that featured Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle.)

A Yakky Doodle-like duck also appeared on Bill Hanna's 1995 "What a Cartoon" short, "Hard Luck Duck." The duck was called Hard Luck (I think), and here he was voiced by Russi Taylor, using her Huey/Dewey/Louie voice.

Re: Same Characters names, different characters [In reply to] You Must Register Before You Can Post

The duck who appeared in the Tom & Jerry cartoons was blue.
There was also a very simular duck in one Yogi Bear cartoon, who deprived Yogi of his winter nap(BooBoo was absent from that cartoon). He talked and acted just like Yakky Doodle, except he was blue(as was before mentioned,Yakky Doodle was always green as a regular on the Huckleberry Hound Show/Yogi Bear Show).

Was the blue duck in the Yogi Bear short supposed to be an earlier version of Yakky?
