Short series with futuristic products You Must Register Before You Can Post

I am looking for a short series of cartoons from the 70's they used to show during the Tom & Jerry Shows. 1 I remember is narriated by someone about futuristic products like the car for the Wife the has a special mirror to apply make-up while driving, then it will show a car for the confused driver that cant make up its mind where to turn and then the mother in law car and the car has a long tail and a seat where the mother in law would sit way in the back. Then they have like the different hunting gear for different hunters, ect. Does ANYONE know what I am talking about???

That would be The Car of Tomorrow (1951), one a series of theatrical shorts from the MGM studio.

There was also:

The House of Tomorrow (1949)
The Farm of Tomorrow (1954)

All of these shorts were directed by Tex Avery. "The Car of Tomorrow" can be seen on YouTube.

Hope that helps.

The hunting gear cartoon is also by Tex Avery and is "Field and Scream." A hunter named Ed goes fishing and hunting--without much success. The ending where the dear drives off with Ed tied to the hood of his car is classic!

One more futuristic Tex Avery cartoon was T.V. Of Tomorrow (1953).

The final gag in this one is also a classic, proving the truth of the French adage "plus ca change, plus c'est le meme chose" ("the more things change, the more they stay the same").

I've always liked the Hoot Nanny from The Farm of Tomorrow.

The chicken crossed with the slot machine was my absolute favorite in "The Farm of Tomorrow."
