It's kind of soon to be speculating about all this, isn't it? I mean, the movie hasn't even been released yet and people are already crying plagerism. Let's wait and see first if the producers bother to acknowledge their alleged "source", before talking about any possible litigation. I think that, ultimately, this will be judged to fall under the category of "parody" and nothing further will come of it. Remember when Carol Burnett tried unsuccessfully to file suit against Seth McFarlane for parodying her charwoman character on a recent episode of Family Guy? I saw the promos for this film on TV last week and I don't think I'll be going to see it anytime soon when it finally does come out. BTW, wasn't there also a lot of naysaying when that God-awful Wayans' Bros. film, Little Man came out; because the film was supposedly a rip-off of the "Baby-Faced Finster" character form a Bugs Bunny cartoon?

It shouldn't. And Viacom shouldn't threaten YouTube either!

You know, I hadn't thought of this before... but is this not unlike that little Barack Obama situation last week?

Good one. Reptar should do that (And do they have the "Doug" or "Rugrats" Christmas Specials anywhere? BTW-I call Viacom 'Engulf+Devour' since that's what they do. (And yes, 'Engulf+Devour' was from a Mel Brooks Film "Silent Movie".)
