Singing Owl (I Love to Singa)
I am looking for a cartoon with a boy owl who wants to sing uplifting music, however, his father does not want him to sing that music; he wants him to sing like "slow montonous music". The boy owl would hide and try to sing his type of music behind the owl father's back, and whenever the father saw him doing this, he would switch back to the songs his father preferred. The uplifting music the boy owl would sing goes like this:"I like to singa, about the sky, and the moona...I like to singa about a sky thats blue...I lova to I lova to siiiinnnngggg". thats all i can remember. If anyone knows any information about this cartoon PLEASE contact me it VERY IMPORTANT. And if its possible, could I get the name of the cartoon, the production THE studio, and whether I can find it on DVD or VHS?

Welcome to the Forum, Yanllerline01! A favorite of lots of people, it's I Love To Singa (Merrie Melodies; Warner Bros., 1936). The "boy owl," Owl Jolson, was voiced by Tommy Bond, who died September 24 at 79. It was released last year on DVD on Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 2.

I did not realize Tommy Bond was the voice of the owl in "I Love to Singa." He is best remembered as Butch in the Our Gang (a.k.a. Little Rascals) shorts and as Jimmy Olsen in the old Superman serials starring Kirk Alyn. Interesting bit of toon trivia there. Thanks for posting.

Indeed it was, it was the episode where Cartman gets an anal probe from aliens. Classic stuff.

Maybe you can find it in the "Happy Feet" DVD. I don't know if it's inside other coutries versions, but in mine (Brazilian) it's one of the extras.
