TOM & JERRY'S ADVANCE AND BE MECHANIZED
I'm pretty sure the t&j ep I'm after is Advance and be mechanized. Cartoon network and Boomerang keep airing an edited version....around 5:15.....the original is around 6:30 or so....Why do they air the edited one and where could I get a copy of the complete one? I swear I saw an ep where a little robot mouse had enough and put on a hat, grabbed a suitcase and took off.....I've checked O SOLAR MEOW and GUIDED MOUSE-ILLE, but they were not it. Any help out there would be appreciated.

For now, the only way to get this one is on an Asian DVD--and you should order ASAP, cuz it's going out of print, it looks like: http://www.hkflix.com/...31723/qx/details.htm On your remote, you'll have to access the language feature to switch it back to the English soundtrack.

That MAY BE a Bootlegged copy from a bootlegged site since it's seems to be out of print in the US. Amazon.com doesn't even carry it! So be ye warned if you order it!

I ordered, from a similar site 4 years ago, and which may have been bought out by the present company, the first 6 volumes (featuring the [mostly] uncensored 40s & 50s T&Js, in chronoligical order). These discs are compatible with NTSC players & my only vague gripe is that the original MGM Leo-the-Lion titles are cut out & replaced with the company's own banner (Buddha Video). Also, the print of SATURDAY EVENING PUSS is the version with the white girl, and HIS MOUSE FRIDAY has the music track only. I don't know if China has a looser policy regarding copyrighted material 40 years or older......and I haven't bothered buying the later volumes, with the Chuck Jones entries. If the company did the same with these films as they did with the old HB's, you'd probably miss the "joke" with the new Jones title sequence.

Thanks to all for the info. I take it that the complete version of Advance and be mechanized is on that set. I noticed that Boomerang airs T&j IN 4 short increments in a half hour slot while Cartoon network airs 3 at at time. Much obliged!
