man tammi, you are entirely old school. i don't think any of those have been in production (aside from the new version of gatchaman, which i don't think you ment) in like 25 years or so. other than hamtaro and pokemon i mean. my fav's tend to run more towards ova or movies, not series. but i do like yu yu hakusho, inu yasha, and i like reign quite a bit. those are the only series really.

There are far to many great Animie's out there to like just one. Here is my short list plus whether or not you can still find them. The original "Bubble Gum Crisis" not the new "BGC 2004" series. Probebly hard to find all 8 episodes, not out on DVD. Wow great in its day. "Akira" the movie, current DVD version considered to be a classic. "Gunsmith Cats" baised on Kenichi Sonada's comic book series,a fun comedy action adventure. "Serial Expeirments(spell check) Lain" wow , groundbreaking SI FI still available on VHS & DVD. "Noir" Reciently out still being released mystery, action, adventure, "Caution" contains violence. "Cowboy Bebop", wonderful fun to watch, nice animation, action series. Currently Available. The "Cowboy Bebop Movie" Released in Japan last year had a limited theatrical release in US. this Spring will be out on DVD soon. "Trigun" a SI FI Western still available, Nice intertainment, a cute Cat mascot of sorts. "Oh My Goddess!" in Japanese Ah My Goddess! or Ah Megame Sama. Baised on the long running Manga (comic book) from Japan By Kosuke Fujshima who also created "You're Under Arrest" which the Japanese TV show is now coming out here on DVD. well I could go on and on but I better Cut Off This Thread. Mine is Cowboy Bepop, but I think that the Snake Plissken anime is going to slam that one down. So basically Cowboy Bepop.

Although Digimon came first it was only the little tamagotchi first, plus Pokemon was Satoshi Tajiri's original story that was his own idea, not copying anything else.Plus Pokemon anime and manga came before Digimon was even a show. Not to mention the original tamagotchi digimon toys(the only rason I know about the tamagotchi digimon is from seeing my cousins' and at 7-11 convieniece stores many years ago)look nothing like the digimon from the show beacuase they all looked like dinosaurs in the tamagothchi toys.

nope, tamagotchi and digimon are two different things by two different people. plain fact is that the digimon manga was released well before the pokemon manga or games were. pokemon probably did not copy digimon per se, they have rather different basic plotlines, but digimon IS first. therfore you cannot say that it copied pokemon in any way whatsoever.

Mine is Warriors of the Wind, it is the first one I saw and it still holds a place dear in my heart. Then I also like Akira. The newer collector's edition is great. I like how you can actually follow the plot better (although the voices are different). DBZ is my favorite series, also I have only seen a couple of Vampire Princess Miyu but it is pretty awesome. Also Big-O and Cowboy Beebop are pretty good.

my top anime series: 1. Ranma 1/2 Funny martial arts and romance. 2. Maison Ikkoku Touching romantic soap opera with a hapless college student Godai falling for Kyoko the young widowed manager of the run-down apartment building he lives in. 3. Urusei Yatsura Zany sci-fi fun with a pretty girl alien named Lum falling for a skirt-chasing Earthling teen boy named Ataru. Seems the Earthlings are stranger than the aliens in most stories. 4. His and Her Circumstances (Kare Kano)- Funny romance between two over-achieving High School students who become human and vulnerable as they fall in love...Many wild facial reactions and quiet emotional moments. 5. Lupin III -tales of a globetrotting master thief and his pals who rob from evil people. 6. City Hunter- A lecherous but efficient equalizer named Ryo Saeba and his megaton mallet wielding female assistant Kaori help people in trouble. 7. Slayers- Dungeons and Dragons anime-style with young sorceress Lina Inverse and friends battling evil creatures and sorcerors. 8. Kimagure Orange Road -An indecisive teen with bizarre psychic powers likes two girls...a bubbly ditz and a brooding ex-gang leader with musical talent. 9. Dirty Pair -Two sexy female agents go on missions where they end up causing damage and destruction everywhere they go. 10. Love Hina A nerdy guy ends up as manager of an all-girl apartment house. Nice clean fun...really.

My favorite titles (dubbed or otherwise) would have to be Dragonball Z, Trigun, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Yu Yu Hakusho. Honorable mentions go to Pokemon, Digimon: Digital Monsters, and Cardcaptor Sakura (Cardcaptors for the uninitiated).
