Questions About 2 Hanna-Barbera Toons on NBC
I have a question regarding two Hanna-Barbera 1978-79 season block series on NBC; those being Yogi's Space Race and The Godzilla Power Hour. Did they have one "special" opening and closing title per show originally (like ABC's 1976-77 The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour had) as well as their respective 30-sec bridging sequences? Yogi's Space Race cartoon list: *Yogi's Space Race *The Galaxy Goof-Ups (would defect from block starting November 4, 1978) *Buford & the Galloping Ghost (aka The Buford Files) (would defect from block starting February 3, 1979) The Godzilla Power Hour cartoon list: *Godzilla *Jana of the Jungle (on November 4, 1978; Jonny Quest reruns were added, and this block was retitled The Godzilla Super 90 to reflect that) ~Ben (ScoobyDoo1976)

Godzilla and Jana did have their own individual openings. Personally, the Jana opening, which featured first person narration by Jana, was more memorable. Each individual segment of "Yogi's Space Race" also had its own opening.

What I still want to know about YSR and GPH are: Did they originally have one closing credit sequence with combined production credits information for all segments listed? I know both the YSR and the Jana segments, by themselves, still use the respective original YSR and GPH "combined" closing credits. The other YSR segments, when reran by themselves, GGU (Galaxy Goof-Ups) and B&GG (Buford & the Galloping Ghost) each have their own separate customized closing credit sequences. Ditto for "Godzilla" when reran by himself. ~Ben (ScoobyDoo1976)
