Comedian Yvette Wilson, best known as Andell Wilkerson on UPN's Moesha and its spinoff, The Parkers, died Thursday, NewsOne.com and other news outlets reported. She was 48. Wilson had been battling stage 4 cervical cancer and kidney disease. She guested as Katen in Treasure Of The Middle Jungle, a 1996 episode of Disney's Jungle Cubs. Wilson appeared in the movies House Party 2, House Party 3 and Friday. "I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home," her Moesha co-star Shar Jackson Tweeted on Thursday evening. Wilson was born in Los Angeles on March 6, 1964. Wilson attended San Jose State University and became a regular on Russell Simmon's Def Comedy Jam, NewsOne noted. She gained wider attention in 1993 on the short-lived ABC sitcom Thea. It starred Brandy Norwood, as did the later Moesha.
