Maybe you guys can figure this one out. It was a movie I think. I'm going back to about 1982. Huge robot dragons /monsters as they all did. The really freakish thing was a little girl that was helping a boy, she was actually an android. She didn't know it and neither did the boy. She was mortally wounded in some way and her stomach was all busted open and then she cried. It scared me for life and I have no idea what movie it was. Please help. I know my info is vague but it's the best I can do. For some reason I was thinking it was Sky-King or Gaiking, but I looked those up and I don't think that's it.

From your descritipn, it sounds a lot like the Osamu Tezuka adapted version of Metropolis. Even though it came out if 2001, the style is vey reminiscient of 80s stuff. Check it out below and see if that is what you are thinking of...
