Le Roman de Renard by Starewicz PAL region 2

In the past year I was turned on to this astonishing film by stop-motion animating genius Ladislaw Starewicz (Starewitch) produced in the 1930s and the holidays are the best time for "sharing the love". I have never been more delighted and thrilled by a film I had never heard of before, and emphatically recommend it to anyone with a brutal sense of humor and a love of 1930s animation. If you are only familiar with Starewicz's "the Devil's ball"/The Mascot" then you are familiar with the quality of his work, but the humor and storytelling in this full length feature is positively ahead of it's time and as wild, funny and sassy as any Pixar film (if that's what you're into). Sadly, this release is only available as a PAL region 2 dvd. Two reliable sellers at US Amazon offer it and it is available at Amazon France. Treat yourself and come back here to sing the film's praises - I'm lonely in my admiration of it! http://www.amazon.fr/...289681042&sr=8-7
