World folk tales You Must Register Before You Can Post

Hi all,

I've been trying forever to find the name of a series of cartoons which are basically animated folk tales from around the world.
It was aired in the 80's and each cartoon was from a different country or maybe continent (I.E: Africa).
Sadly, the only thing I remember from this cartoon is its opening theme which had a peacock marching from one side of the screen to the other side and was followed by children from all over the world marching after it.
At the end of the theme the peacock would stay alone and spread his feathers (transform into the company's logo).
I thought it might be an NBC production (peacock logo) but I couldn't find anything even after a very long search - your help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
